Try Chalk Paint to Repurpose, Restore, Relove

About

Every since I can remember, I have loved furniture, not all of it mind you, but most. I particularly like the older style, not really wrapped in the art-deco style, some of it but the wonderfully solid wood furniture, that has lasted many a generation and will continue to last many more. That is the furniture I prefer.

There is something about the feel of timber furniture.  There is something about the feel of furniture that has been given a new lease of life by restoring with paint that is known as chalk paint.  And then applying a beautiful wax to protect it.

A lot of it has to do with the person who has given it the TLC I know but it does have a lovely soft feel to the surface.

Why not give it a try?  You don’t have to spend a lot of money either.  The hardware stores like Bunnings, Mitre 10 and Masters do sample pots of any colour, that’s the beauty of making your own CP, you choose the colour from the hundreds available. The sample pots are less than $20 and some of them are the 500ml size.  You can paint a lot with 500ml.
